The Cabana; The Birth of Tiny Base.

Tiny Base came about after my 9 month experience of living in a Tiny House.  My wife and I designed and built our first 10m2 Tiny House (Fondly named the Cabana!)on our property in Central Otago to accommodate us during the time when I was building our 'Big House'.  We both fell in love with our Cabana, and the Tiny House way of living.  It opened our eyes to what we actually needed to live & enjoy our lives, which is not much.

My first hand knowledge of Tiny House living provides Tiny Base with the edge over other Tiny House build options.  Tinyhouses require a different mindset and design approach from a normal 'Big house'.  My hands on experience has shown me the do's and donts of tinyhouse works, and what makes your tinyhouse a joy to live in.

My qualification & 10 years experience in the Plumbing trade has allowed me to gain the additional skills & knowledge to build tinyhouses.  Combine this knowledge & experience with my Wife's, who is a Qualified Industrial Designer (and also operates her own Kitchen Design company) allows us to achieve the  "Less is more" & form follows function philosophies when it comes to Tiny Houses.  Our combination of experience and wisdom, and first hand experience of Tiny House Living makes us the Best choice for your Tiny House Project.
